"The Woman Warrior" by Maxine Hong Kingston

Kingston's novel is my first real exposure to a memoir that incorporates myth, history, fiction, and non-fiction. It is/was a fascinating read, and she combines beautiful metaphors and blunt truths to produce a refreshing piece of literature.
